Environmentally Friendly
David Luke has always had a "no waste" policy. From our habitual use of scrap office paper, to our weekly collections of excess cardboard and plastic packaging, David Luke has been committed to ensuring our environmental impact at work is minimised. Back in 2001 we gained ISO9002 accreditation, as we wanted to improve our organisational and quality management skills.
We are dedicated to constantly improving our environmental credentials and so we have implemented an Environmental Management System and been accredited with ISO14001. This standard is issued with the knowledge that we as an organisation are limiting our environmental impact and addressing all the challenges that arise in running a sustainable business for the future.
Organically Friendly
Instead of jumping on a bandwagon, we have been working with our yarn suppliers to include a percentage of organically grown cotton in our T-Shirts and Polos, to ensure a gradual increase in usage, to keep in equilibrium with the current limited availability of organic cotton production.
Ethically Friendly
Our "Supplier Responsible Sourcing" document outlines our expectations from all our factories. It covers issues such as the Environment, Discrimination, Forced Labour, Child Labour, Wages & Hours, Working Conditions and Freedom of Association. We are Fair with both Suppliers and Customers alike.
We regularly visit our factories and work closely with them.
We have never had a strategy of exploiting suppliers for short-term gains and we believe very much in developing strong working relationships with our factories, for the benefit of everyone. David Luke have been working this way since 1982.
