Using recycled plastic bottles to make the Eco-fabric for the blazers is a fantastic way to demonstrate to children how products can go on to become something entirely different through the process of recycling. Students are proud to wear their uniforms.Headteacher, Newport Free Grammar School
Below are the awards and accreditations we have achieved in our aim to put people and the environment at the centre of our future.
We have invested heavily into these accreditations to ensure we can be confident in knowing where our recycled material comes from.
Intertek Green Leaf
Independent verification has been given by Intertek to show that all the polyester fabric we use in our Eco-blazers, jackets, trousers, shorts, skirts and polo shirts is 100% post consumer recycled polyester.
For further information visit their website here.
SCS – Global services
The recycled polyester content used in our Eco-sweatshirts has been certified as 100% post consumer waste (recycled plastic bottles) by SCS Global Services for Recycled Content Certification.

MEN Environment Award
In October 2014 we won the Innovation and Technology category at the MEN Environment Awards. The award recognises the impact our Eco-uniform has on improving the environment; reducing both emissions and waste.
HSBC Global connections – Regional finalist
In 2014 we were regional finalists in the HSBC Global Connections Competition. This recognises the most innovative and dynamic businesses in the UK. We took part in an International Exchange in Istanbul and presented in the North UK final.
“We’re really confident that we have some great products, a great way of doing business and some innovations that will stand us in good stead.”
Mark Woolgar, Operations Director
Watch our Managing Director, Kathryn and Operations Director, Mark, talk more about the experience.
Environmental Business Pledge
In 2013 we were awarded the Bronze and Silver level of achievement in recognition of measures we have taken to reduce our environmental footprint. This was awarded to us as part of Manchester City Council’s Environmental pledge.
Since 2004 we have been accredited with the ISO4001 for implementing our Environmental Management System. With this accreditation, we seek to continually improve our environmental performance and we are committed to monitoring and reviewing our progress in this area.
