What Else?

David Luke have always made responsible decisions about People and the Environment. We do not shout about it, we just get on with our business. Hopefully more businesses will do the same, as they see the impact that poor business practice can have around the world.

Sometimes it's the simplest things that can have the greatest impact.

Pass it on...

The quality of the garment can make a remarkable contribution to the environment. Most of our Schoolwear and Scout & Guide Uniforms are worn until they are handed down or passed on to another child. Apart from representing tremendous value for the parents, this has such a positive impact on precious resources at every stage of the process, right around the world.

Not too dirty, wash at 30!

Most of the fabrics we use can be washed at 40 degrees, but we have started to include the term "Not too dirty, wash at 30" on our washing instructions. This encourages Parents to turn down the wash to 30 degrees and save both resource and money, in a fun way.

Less paper, more Trees

David Luke continually invest in our business, it makes us more efficient, which helps us to be successful. But often it can help other factors, like the Environment. Our Computer system is now able to send virtually all paperwork electronically, saving countless sheets of paper, envelopes, etc, etc. It makes such good sense, both environmentally and financially.
